Snead, Alfred Cookman. (1884--1961). Attended Taylor University 1898-1902 and later Nyack Missionary Training Institute. When to India as C & MA missionary but forced to return in 1909 due to ill health. Pastor of Alliance church in Indianapolis, then taught at Nyack, 1918-1930. Elected Foreign Secretary of the Society in 1921 which office he held until retiring in 1956. Honored by Taylor with a Doctor of Divinity degree. Wrote a book of poems but only one set to music,"Fully Surrendered" by George Stebbins.
