Representative Text

1 For all the blessings that we have received,
Give thanks to the Lord;
So many times our souls he hath relieved,
Give thanks to the Lord.

Refrain:
Give thanks to him from loving hearts today,
For all the blessings dropped upon our way;
Oh, honor him, extol him, while we may;
Give thanks to the Lord.

2 For golden harvest and for sunshine fair,
Give thanks to the Lord;
For love that lightened every pain and care,
Give thanks to the Lord. [Refrain]

3 For health and peace, and many faithful friends,
Give thanks to the Lord;
For every blessing that from him descends,
Give thanks to the Lord. [Refrain]

4 For grace that keeps us in the better way,
Give thanks to the Lord;
Until we meet him in the land of day,
Give thanks to the Lord. [Refrain]
