قُدسُ فادٍ قائمْ
ليس فيها مِن ظلامْ
بل نهارٌ دائمْ

قرار
يمسحُ اللهْ الدموعْ
ليس فيها ما يروعْ
لا مماتٌ لا هجوعْ
بل نهارٌ دائمْ

2 - لؤلؤٌ أبوابُها
قدسُ فادي المجدِ
ذهبٌ طُرْقاتُها
عيشُها بالرَّغْدِ

3 - دائماً مفتوحةٌ
بالبها والنورِ
كلُّها محبوبةٌ
نهرُها بَلُّوري

4 - نورُها الفادي الحملْ
ليس فيها شمسٌ
وهْو تحقيقُ الأملْ
مجدُها والقدسُ

John R. Clements was born in County Armagh, Ireland 28 November 1868 and was brought to the United States at the age of two years. He worked at the age of thirteen as a retail grocery clerk and had a successful wholesale grocery business. He began writing poetry when he was young.
