Father of mercies, God of peace. [Harvest.] Appeared anonymously in the revised edition of Longfellow and Johnson's Unitarian Book of Hymns, 1848 (1st edition 1846), in 4 stanzas of 6 lines, and entitled "Thanksgiving Hymn." It is in their Hymns of the Spirit, Boston, 1864, and in other American Unitarian hymn-books.
