1 Farewell! we meet no more
On this side heaven;
The parting scene is o'er,
The last sad look is given.

2 Farewell! my soul will weep
While memory lives,
From wounds that sink so deep
No earthly hand relieves.

3 Farewell! until we meet
In heaven above,
And there in union sweet
Sing of a Saviour's love.
