Faith is the Christian's prop. [Faith.] This hymn appeared in the Evangelical Magazine Supplement, 1826, with the signature "F." It was repeated in the American Baptist Psalmist, 1843, No. 512, and other collections, including some in Great Britain. In the Sabbath Hymn Book, 1858, and later collections, "Faith is the polar star" begins with stanza ii. of this hymn.
