Dayton, Mary Alice (?--1940, Concord, New Hampshire). A resident of Quincy, Illinois, she studied with Mary Baker Eddy in 1889. She lived in Quincy, Massachusetts, 1893-1939, thereafter in Concord, New Hampshire. She was a Christian Science practitioner and teacher, 1892-1939.

ST. MATTHEW was published in the Supplement to the New Version of Psalms by Dr. Brady and Mr. Tate (1708), where it was set to Psalm 33 and noted as a new tune.
