En evig Sabbatstid

Representative Text

1 En evig Sabbatstid
Og deilig Sommer blid
Maa vi nu snarlig vente,
Sin Brud vil Jesus hente
Til evig Fryd og Ære,
Og stedse sammen være.

2 I Aanden glædes nu
Vort Hjerte, Sind og Hu,
Vor Brudgom vil nu komme,
Os til stor drOst og Fromme;
Den evig Fryd og Ære
Vil han os da forære.

3 Ny Himmel og ny Jord,
I hvilken Retfærd bor
Did skal Guds Børn indgange
Og Himlens Glæde fange;
I evig Fryd og Ære
Skal deres Bolig være.

4 Farvel al Verdens Pragt,
Kom ei udi min Agt!
Jeg vil dig overgive,
Hos Christum vil jeg blive
Og nyde Fred og Ære,
Somhan mig skal forære!
