Du Schöpfer aller Wesen

Representative Text

1 Du Schöpfer aller Wesen
du Lenker aller Zeit,
die Woche, die gewesen,
kehrt heim zur Ewigkeit.

2 Anbetend, Herr, wir singen
das Lied der Ewigkeit,
zu dir zurück wir bringen
die anvertraute Zeit.

3 Dir sind wir ganz verschrieben,
ein bleibend Eigentum.
Hilf, daß wir rein dich lieben,
rein künden deinen Ruhm.

4 Wenn jetzt um uns dunkelt,
sei selber unser Licht,
und wenn das Irrlicht funkelt,
laß und verirren nicht.

5 Die Schuld will uns vertreiben,
Herr Christ, vergib sie du.
Laß unsern Glauben bleiben
in deines Todes Ruh.

6 Dein Kreuzeshand nun segne
die Schar, die kniet vor dir,
und jedem selbst begegne:
"Der Friede sei mit dir."
