Dios eterno, en tu presencia Nuestros siglos horas son

Representative Text

1 Dios eterno, en tu presencia
nuestros siglos horas son;
y un segundo, la existencia
de cualquier generación.
Mas aquél que a tu lado
quiere ya volar con fe,
en su curso prolongado
lento siempre el tiempo ve.

2 Otro año ha fenecido
que la vida ya acortó;
y al descanso apetecido
poco mas nos acercó.
Gracias mil por tus mercedes
hoy tu iglesia, Dios, te da;
ya que todo tú lo puedes
tu poder nos sostendrá.

3 Ven, proteges las familias
visitando cada hogar.
¡Oh Señor!, si nos auxilias
nada nos podrá faltar.
Que te alabe el ser humano
de este mundo por doquier;
que tu santo nombre ensalce
y te sirva haciendo el bien.
