فاقْتادَني يسوعْ
جلا الدُّجى عن مُقلتي
وفُزتُ بالرُّجوعْ

نورٌ نورٌ مالئٌ حَشايْ
نورٌ نورٌ دائماً هُدايْ
ردَّني فاديَّ غافراً خَطايْ
حبُّه العظيمُ مالئٌ حَشايْ

2 – إن ثار من حولى اضطراب
واشتدت الأحزانْ
يعضُدُني نورُ الورى
فتنجلي الأشجانْ

3 - يحلو حديثي معَهُ
بكاملِ الولاءْ
وأقتفي آثارَهُ
يغمُرُني الضِّياءْ

4 - أُذيعُ في كلِّ الملا
بُشراهُ للعِبادْ
يهدي سبيلي حُبُّهُ
في الزرعِ والحَصادْ

5 - إنِّ الذي أرشدَني
مصدرُ كلِّ نورْ
سوف أراه في العُلى
بالمجدِ للدهورْ

Judson W. Van DeVenter was born 15 December 1855 on a farm near the village of Dundee, Michigan. He was educated in the country and village schools, and at Hillsdale College. He later moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. He wrote about 100 hymns.
