Come, Humble Saints, And Place Your Trust

Representative Text

1 Come, humble souls, and place your trust
In God, the faithful, wise and just;
His promises will He fulfil,
To all who love and do His will.

2 When wrath o’erwhelms a guilty land,
His cov’nant truth shall firmly stand,
A sure retreat, a strong defense,
Nor shall you e’er be riven thence.

3 You, He’ll in perfect safety keep,
Amongst the number of His sheep;
Or if in public griefs you share,
His hand will still the faithful spare.
