laŭ olda kant-heredo, Jiŝaj la origin';
ekĝermis ĉarma flor'
dum frosta vintro-tempo
je noktomeza hor'.

2. El virgulin' beata, mirinda roz-arbed',
elvenis flor' benata laŭ diro de profet'.
Laŭ sankta Di-ordon'
ŝi naskis infaneton
por nia sav' kaj bon'.

3. Kaj ĉi floreto belas, amindas per parfum';
la nokton ĝi forpelas per sia brila lum',
nin helpas el mizer',
