Walter Bailes was a talented writer of both secular and sacred songs. He was born and raised in West Virginia and worked with his brothers Kyle, John and Homer as The Bailes Brothers for performances. Walter was a star of Nashville’s WSM Grand Ole Opry in the mid-’40s. He joined the ministry and pastored evangelical churches and preached at numerous revivals in the U.S. and overseas.
