Representative Text

1 Breathe upon us, blessed Spirit!
Let us feel Thy presence near;
May our souls Thy peace inherit,
Casting out our faithless fear!

Refrain:
Holy Ghost, in Thy communion,
In the fellowship of love,
May we dwell in blessed union
Like to that of heav’n above.

2 Purify and make us holy,
Show to us the things of Christ;
Make us like Him, meek and lowly,
Through Thy gift of love unpriced! [Refrain]

3 Open to our eyes the pages
Of the Holy Word of Life,
Where the truth in all the ages,
Shines through earthly sin and strife! [Refrain]

4 By Thy mighty intercession,
May we learn to pray aright;
Guide our praise and our confession,
Till our faith is changed to sight. [Refrain]
