Awake, arise, and hail the morn. [Christmas.] This was given anonymously in J. Dobell's New Selection, 1806, No. 29, in 3 stanzas of 4 lines. In the Songs for the Sanctuary, N. Y., 1865, it is altered to "Wake, O my soul, and hail the morn."
