Aus Lieb' verwundter Jesu mein. xvi. Century. [Holy Communion.] This appears in the Christ. Cathol. Gesang-Buch, Nach der Paderbornischen Edition, 1726, p. 263, in 16 stanzas of 4 lines; among the hymns for Corpus Christi, as "A Sigh of Love to Jesus." In the Geistreiches Gesang-Buch, Berlenburg, 1720, No. 90, it has 9 stanzas. In the Trier Gesang-Buch (R. C), J846, p. 120, it is in 6 stanzas. It has been translated as:—
O Jesu, pierced for love of me. In full from the Trier Gesang-Buch, signed "Sister M.," in Lyra Eucheristica, 1863, p. 252 (ed. 1864, p. 298), and thence as No. 535 in the People's Hymnal, 1867.
