Another day of school is past

Representative Text

1 Another day of school is past,*
And we must say goodbye,
And so, goodbye, our merry mates
And teacher, dear, goodbye.

Refrain:
Oh, may the Lord take care of you,
May He take care of me,
Till we again together meet,
From evil keep us free.

2 Dear Jesus, bless the words we've heard,
The songs we've sung today,
Bless all we've done, and all we've said,
Oh, bless us all, we pray. [Refrain]

3 Forgive the sins that we have done,
In thought, and word, and deed,
Incline our hearts to love Thy truth,
And to Thy law give heed. [Refrain]

4 Dear Jesus, keep us as we go,
Oh, keep us all the week,
And all we've learned may we obey,
And Thy face daily seek. [Refrain]
