Raymond, William Stern, M.A., was born in 1832, and educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge, B.A. 1854. Taking holy orders, he was for sometime Curate of Tedstone-Delamere, Herefordshire. Subsequently he became a Fellow of St. Nicholas College, Lancing, Sussex. He died in 1863. His hymn for Easter Eve, "Weeping as they go their way," was published in I. G. Smith's Hymn Book for the Services of the Church, &c, 1855, and is found in several collections.
