Representative Text

1 A great feast is ready prepared now for thee,
And Jesus is calling, O come unto me,
Partake of my bounty a rich, ample store,
The sweet bread of heaven, and hunger no more.

Refrain:
O come to the feast, my brother,
O come to the feast today,
The table is spread,
And your souls must be fed,
O come to the feast today.

2 Why hunger and perish? why starve, while you may
Sit down at my table, and feast there today,
And find in abundance a royal supply,
A kingly reception, a kingdom on high. [Refrain]

3 For you I have furnished this endless repast,
For you all this fullness forever shall last;
To you it is freely and cordially given,
This boundless provision, this fullness of heav’n. [Refrain]

4 Then come, do not tarry, there’s room yet for thee,
Accept this salvation so full and so free;
O kind invitation from Jesus today
Comes to you, my brother, O come while you may. [Refrain]
