Representative Text

1 A full and free salvation the King provides for all,—
‘Tis not by works our hands can do;
If you this very moment on His dear name will call,
What He has done for others He will do for you.

Chorus:
For you, yes, for you! His promise is true;
Now let the Savior enter and your heart renew;
O glory, hallelujah! God’s word abideth true;
What He has done for others, He will do for you.

2 The angles hover o’er you, the patient Savior waits
Beside you in your narrow pew;
He loses all the blessing who falters and debates,
What Christ has done for others let Him do for you. [Chorus]

3 No matter how discouraged, if you will look above,
And onward still the path pursue,
In Jesus’ arms encircled, confiding in His love,
What He has done for others He will do for you. [Chorus]

4 O trust Him, fully trust Him! commit to Him your life;
He’ll keep you all the journey thru;
In ev’ry hour of conflict, in all the bitter strife,
What He has done for others He will do for you. [Chorus]

5 On yonder hills of glory, upon a deathless shore,
A crown awaits your wond’ring view;
You’ll enter that fair city to sorrow nevermore,
And find a fadeless mansion there reserved for you. [Chorus]
