Scored for Viola, SATB Choir

This anthem begins with a haunting entrance by the viola playing "O Sacred Head Now Wounded". The piece then alternates between the viola and the choir, with the choir singing a beautiful text by Sylvia Dunstan that continues to ask "Who is this who walks among us?" Ferguson's writing gives equal weight to both choral and viola part. Viola part included. Part of CHRISTUS Series, a cycle of four seasonal hymn anthems for choir and viola. To see other titles in this series, on homepage click "Series" then "Christus Series."
