The Vidi aquam text has been used during Paschaltide since the 12th century. The Ezekiel 47 text is used to accompany the ceremonial sprinkling of holy water, and is a version of the prophet's vision of water flowing from the temple. This setting features a new English version of the text by Susan Cherwien, which can be used in connection with Baptism.
