Creative hymn writer, Susan Cherwien, was commissioned to write the new text of this work to be sung to an old gem of a tune NUN FREUT EUCH. Beginning and ending with flowing water imagery, the musical setting involves flute, modest resources for SATB choir, and optional congregation. It would be appropriate for use on a number of occasions including Reformation, All Saints, Baptism of Jesus, and other times of the year focusing on God's creation.
