This piece opens with the majestic sounds of a landscape such as the American West. A native American inspired melody enters and is joined by the hymn, “This is My Father’s World” and later combines with “The King of Love My Shepherd Is.” After a climax of the main theme, a quiet epilogue ensues, presenting fragments of the theme as a peaceful and dreamy memory.
