Howard Helveys energetic, highly rhythmic introit was commissioned by St. John's Unitarian Universalist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Filled with quick asymmetric meter, sudden dynamic changes, quartal harmony, and Lydian influence, this short choral piece is suitable during most of the liturgical year. The lively, challenging accompaniment requires a skilled pianist.
