Pollock, Charles Edward. (Illinois, 1872--February 21, 1924, El Paso County, Texas). Charles E. Pollock was born on a farm in Lincoln, Illinois. He later worked at rounding up cattle in New Mexico before working with the railroad as brakeman, engineer and conductor. Later he became chief of police in El Paso, Texas. He wrote the hymn "Above the Bright Blue."
Not to be confused with Charles Edward Pollock, (1853-1954).
