Kinner, Samuel, was a native of Breslau, and after he had graduated M.D. was for some time a physician there. He then entered the service of the Duke of Liegnitz-Brieg as Rath and Court Physician, and died at Brieg, Aug. 10, 1668, at the age of 65 (J. H. Cunradus's Silesia Togata, Liegnitz, 1706, p. 150). One hymn ascribed to him has been translated, viz.:—
Herr Jesu Christ, du hast bereit. Holy Communion. In Jeremias Weber's Gesang-Buch, Leipzig, 1638, p. 394, in 8 st. of 7 l, entitled " A beautiful hymn on the Supper of the Lord. Samuel Kinner." In Burg's Gesang-Buch, Breslau, 1746, No. 1665, entitled "For worthy reception, before Holy Communion." Translated as:—
