Ellen Thorneycroft Fowler (9 April 1860 – 22 June 1929) was an English author of popular romances, and a poet and children's writer. She was a keen Methodist.

Felkin, Ellen Thorneycroft, née Fowler, the elder daughter of Sir Henry Fowler, Bart., and granddaughter of the Rev. Joseph Fowler, Wesleyan Minister, was married to A. L. Felkin, Senior Assistant Master of Eltham College, in 1903. Her hymn, "Now the year is crowned with blessing" (Harvest), is No. 945 in The Methodist Hymn Book 1904. In addition to several popular novels, she published Verses, Grave and Gay, 1901. From this work, p. 35, the above hymn is taken.
