George Body was born about February 1840 in Crediton, Devonshire, England. He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge (BA 1862, MA 1876) and served as Curate in several churches and as Proctor for the Archdeaconry of Cleveland in 1880-85. He died on June 5, 1911 in Durham, England.
