Bailey, Thomas L., [Thomas Loyd Baily] an American Baptist minister, was born at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, March 2, 1824, and entered the ministry in 1871. He is the author of several hymns in various American Sunday School hymnbooks, as Welcome Tidings, The Garner, &c, including, (l) "Come, talk to me of Jesus" (Jesus the sinner's Friend); and (2) "No night in heaven, eternal day" (Heaven).
