Mass-downloading of public domain MIDI files for research purposes

Does anyone know of any way (or any resource in general) to download a sizable sample of MIDI files for hymns? (Think 1000+ hymns). I'm trying to do some research and need a sizable body of hymns to do it. Any help that gets me out of manually downloading that many files would be appreciated. Thanks.
