Oscar Bernadotte (prince of Sweden), the real author of "I'd Rather Have Jesus"?

I recently was provided with some documentation supporting the claim that Oscar Bernadotte (1859 - 1953) of Sweden was the original author of the lyrics we know in English as "I'd Rather Have Jesus," widely attributed to Rhea F. Miller.
