Text: | All Praise to Thee, My God, This Night |
Author: | Thomas Ken |
Author: | Rebecca J. Weston |
Tune: | TALLIS CANON |
Arranger: | Thomas Tallis |
1 All praise to thee, my God, this night,
For all the blessings of the light!
Keep me, O keep me safe from harm
Within the shelter of thine arm!
2 Forgive me, O most Holy One,
The wrongs that I, this day have done,
That with myself, the world and thee,
I, ere I sleep, at peace may be.
3 Our God we thank thee for the night
And for the pleasant morning light,
For rest and food and loving care
And all that makes the world so fair.
4 Help us to do the things we should,
To be to others kind and good,
May all we do in work or play
Be done with love and rest this day.
