1 O holy Ghost! arise,
Thy temple fill:
With cleansing fire baptize
My yielded will.

2 Breath from above, refine
My waiting heart:
Impulse and pow’r divine
To me impart.

3 Thou very Light of light,
Poured from on high,
Kindly with vision bright
Mine inward eye.

4 Cleanse, and illume, and fill—
It shall be so:
Then send me where Thou will,
And I will go.
