1 From out the mire of sin and shame,
Led by a Name, my Saviour’s Name,
Up to the Cross I meekly came,
While looking unto Him.

2 All shattered are my cruel chains,
Washed in His blood my guilty stains;
Of all my fears, not one remains,

3 On joy’s glad mount, in sorrow’s vale,
Fair be the wind, or fierce the gale,
I know His love will never fail,

4 From Him is flowing saving grace,
To Him my richest gifts I trace,
In Him I find a resting-place,

5 Forgetting all the buried past,
My smallest cares on Him I cast,
And day by day He holds me fast,
