Text: | When We Reach the Other Side |
Author: | William H. Gardner |
Tune: | [When we reach the other side] |
Composer: | C. K. Langley |
1 When we reach the other side,
When at anchor safe we ride,
In the morning light so fair,
Loving lips will greet us there.
Refrain:
Arms of love will welcome us,
To our home forevermore,
And a thankful pray’r we’ll raise,
That our journeys all are o’er.
2 When we reach the other side,
We shall see God’s Son who died
On the cross at Calvary,
Sacrifice for you and me. [Refrain]
3 When we reach the other side
We will view with grateful pride,
Stars that in our crowns will shine,
Set there by the “Hand Divine.” [Refrain]
4 When we reach the other side,
With an angel for our guide,
We will walk the “streets of gold,”
Told of by the saints of old. [Refrain]
