1 May Jesus watch between us,
When we apart shall be;
With tender care, O, Father,
Thy loving children see.
From harm and danger keep us,
From sickness, grief and pain:
And if Thou wilt, dear Saviour,
Grant we may meet again.
Refrain:
Watch o’er and keep us,
Oh! guide, in peace;
Dear Heav’nly Father lead us,
May naught, our faith decrease;
Watch o’er and keep us,
Our guide remain,
And if it be Thy pleasure,
Grant we may meet again.
2 We thank Thee for the blessings
Which we receive each day;
For peace and joy Thou givest,
When we Thy word obey;
For love of friends and dear ones,
While we on earth remain;
And grant, Lord, if it please Thee,
That we may meet again. [Refrain]
3 Help us to be of service
To those we daily meet;
O, may we strive some lost one
To bring to Jesus’ feet.
May we Thy kingdom further,
All sin and wrong disdain;
And Father, if Thou willest,
Grant we may meet again. [Refrain]
