8. God’s law is perfect, and converts

1 God's law is perfect, and converts
the soul in sin that lies;
God's testimony is most sure,
and makes the simple wise.

2 The statutes of the Lord are right,
they all rejoice the heart;
the Lord's command is pure, and will
light to the eyes impart.

3 The Lord God's worship is most pure,
delighting every heart;
the judgments of the Lord are true,
perfect in every part.

4 They more than gold, than much find gold
to be desired are;
than honey from the honeycomb
they sweeter are by far.

5 Moreover, they your servants warn
upon the pilgrim way;
God's law provides a great reward
which can be ours today.
