171. I Am Satisfied With Jesus

1 Once I wandered in the darkness,
Like a sheep, alone and cold;
Then it was that Jesus found me,
Bro’t me back into the fold.

He bestowed on me His grace,
That I may behold His face,
And reign with Him forevermore.

2 Oh, how blessed this assurance,
That the Christ within me lives;
What a pleasure in His service,
When to me His pow’r He gives. [Refrain]

3 Pressing onward, upward ever,
With the Saviour by my side,
Naught can sever this relation,
If I close to Him abide. [Refrain]

4 Have you found this great Redeemer,
Would you now behold His face?
Give to Him your heart sin-burdened,
He will save you by His grace. [Refrain]
