207. He Will Send Showers

1 He will send showers of blessing;
Such is the mind of our Lord;
He will send showers of blessing,
This is foretold in His word.

Refrain:
Showers of blessing,
Floods of His goodness and love;
Falling in showers
Down from the Father above.

2 He will send showers of blessing;
As is the glad days of old
When, their Redeemer confessing,
Thousands were bro’t to the fold. [Refrain]

3 He will send showers of blessing;
Promise that never can fail;
God’s Holy Spirit possessing,
We shall not falter nor quail. [Refrain]

4 He will send showers of blessing;
We have not tarried in vain;
Failures and follies confessing,
Mercy will cover each stain. [Refrain]

5 He will send showers of blessing;
This is the day of His pow’r;
God the great Giver addressing,
Pray He will send them this hour. [Refrain]
