Text: | I Know My Savior Now |
Author: | C. W. Naylor |
Tune: | [Not as teacher in Judea] |
Composer: | H. C. Clausen |
1 Not as teacher in Judea
In the days of long ago,
But as present guide and helper
I my Jesus truly know.
Refrain:
He is ever present with me,
And his tender touch I feel;
Through the passing years he daily
Doth to me himself reveal.
2 Once he journeyed by the Jordan,
And the people followed there;
But with me he now is walking,
In his fellowship I share. [Refrain]
3 I can hear him gently speaking
Words of love so sweet to me,
Words of hope and consolation,
Naught on earth more real could be. [Refrain]
4 He abideth thro’ the ages
As a Savior great and strong,
The delight of all his people,
Their rejoicing and their song. [Refrain]
