49. Rise and Shine

1 When our Lord returns to take us
To our mansions in the sky,
We shall rise and shine
We shall rise to life eternal,
Nevermore to sin or die.
We shall rise and shine.

Refrain:
We shall rise, we shall shine;
We shall sine with Him in glory by and by,
When the bonds of death are broken,
We shall meet Him in the sky,
We shall rise and shine.

2 Prison bars of death can't hold us
When our Saviour comes again,
We shall rise and shine,
From the grave we'll rise triumphant,
And with Christ we'll meet and reign,
We shall rise and shine. [Refrain]

3 With our loved ones gone before us,
We'll assemble 'round the throne,
Where we'll shine and shine.
There we'll shout and praise our Saviour,
Who redeemed us for His own.
We shall rise and shine. [Refrain]
