93. Abiding in Christ

1 I’m abiding in Christ, where no sea billows roll,
Where the tempest is hushed to a calm;
‘Tis a haven or rest for the storm-driven soul
And the weary may here find a balm.

Refrain:
I’m abiding, abiding in Christ,
And He satisfies my soul ev’ry day,
I’m abiding, abiding in Christ,
Ev’ry day, all the way.

2 I’m abiding in Christ, and His love is so sweet,
For it fills me with peace ev’ry day;
And I find in His presence a blessed retreat
From the trials and toils of the way. [Refrain]

3 I’m abiding in Christ, as the branch in the vine:
And new strength He imparts ev’ry hour;
As I feed on the Word and I drink of the wine
I am kept by His wonderful pow’r. [Refrain]

4 O, that haven of rest from the tempest is found
In abiding in Christ’s blessed will,
Where no evil can come, and no discord of sound
Where the waves hear His voice and are still. [Refrain]
