45. A Great Salvation

1 ‘Tis a great salvation that hath reached my soul,
‘Tis a great salvation that hath made me whole;
Jesus’ blood hath set me free,
I am saved eternally,
Saved by grace divine.

Refrain:
‘Tis a great salvation, a great salvation,—
From sin and condemnation it sets me free;
‘Tis a great salvation, a great salvation,
Its blessed “whosoever” included me!

2 ‘Tis a great salvation that could cleanse my heart,
Wondrous pow’r that bade my ev’ry sin depart!
Only trusting in His name,
With my guilty soul I came,
And He pardoned me. [Refrain]

3 ‘Tis a great salvation, saving such as I;
‘Tis a wondrous Savior that hath brought it nigh;
Oh, how could I silent be,
When I’m ransomed and set free
For eternity! [Refrain]
