1 Sound the praise of God most high, our great and mighty King;
Join the glad exultant cry that angels sing;
Tell the gospel’s word of grace that all the world may hear;
Send its joy to ev’ry place, to nations far and near.

Sound his praise, each glad and loyal voice;
Sound his praise, let ev’ry heart rejoice;
Tell the story—spread the glory,
And praise, oh, praise with heart and voice.

2 Sound the praise of him who reigns triumphant over all;
Let the sweet and joyous strains send forth their call,
Bringing unto ev’ry heart that knowledge of his love
That must ev’ry bliss impart, and lead to him above. [Chorus]

3 Sound the praise of God our King, our Leader and our Guide;
Let his song of glory ring thro’ nations wide,
Till in one united band, beneath one banner bright,
All the world shall proudly stand transfigured by his light. [Chorus]
