141. I’m His Own

1 God is my Father, caring for me; I’m His own; Heir to a kingdom I am to be; I’m His own; He is preparing a home on high, Where there are mansions beyond the sky; There I shall dwell with Him bye and bye, I’m His own. Refrain: Joybells daily are ringing within my happy heart; Sunshine floods all my being and shadows depart, For I’m living with Jesus, O how He keeps me with love unknown, When He is near there’s nothing to fear, For I’m His own. 2 Ev’ry temptation He helps to bear I’m His own; Ways of escape He’s sure to prepare; I’m His own; For ev’ry need there’s a promise true; Strength for each day He will give anew, And each dark hour He will see me thro’; I’m His own. [Refrain] 3 When by affliction I am oppressed, I’m His own; He whispers sweetly, “I’ll give thee rest;” I’m His own; When thro’ the valley of death I go, Jesus will lead tho’ dark waters flow, And thro’ eternity’s years I’ll know, I’m His own. [Refrain]
