35. Loyalty to Christ

1 A tribute to the Christ we bring,
Of praises loyal hearts may sing;
An offering of incense sweet,
And purpose true for service meet.

2 Christ’s people are His body true,
His blessed work we have to do;
He dies and lives in us each day,
And is “the life, the truth, the way.” [Refrain]

3 The sons of God His Spirit leads,
To show “the things of Christ” in deeds,
To keep our hearts, to love the Lord,
And ever to obey His word. [Refrain]

4 Oh, may each youthful Christian band
For Christ’s full truth with courage stand;
And pray, and serve, and teach, and give,
In loyalty to Christ to live. [Refrain]
