Text: | I Am Going to That City |
Author: | R. E. W. |
Tune: | [I am going to that city] |
Composer: | R. E. Winsett |
1 I am going to that city,
Where with loved ones I shall dwell;
In that home thro’ countless ages,
We shall never say farewell.
Refrain:
I am going home to glory,
To the city of our King;
To behold our blest Redeemer,
And His praises ever sing.
2 In that home of joy eternal,
Where the streets are paved with gold;
Where the flowers bloom forever,
And the saints never grow old. [Refrain]
3 In that home there’ll be no sorrow,
No more sickness, death nor pain;
No farewell words will be spoken,
When redeemed ones meet again. [Refrain]
4 Soon our Lord will come in glory,
And will gather us all home;
To His house of many mansions,
From which we will never roam. [Refrain]
