LXXXIX | A Selection of Hymns, from Various Authors, Supplementary for the Use of Christians. 1st ed.#XC | XCI |
1 My soul, survey thy happiness,
If thou art found a child of grace,
How richly is the gospel stor'd!
What joy the promises afford!
2 All things are now the gift of God,
And purchas'd with our Saviour's blood;
While the good Spirit shews us how,
To use and to enjoy them too.
3 If peace and plenty crown my days,
They help me Lord to sing thy praise;
If bread of sorrow be my food,
Those sorrows work my real good.
4 Be present at our table Lord,
Be here and every where ador'd:
Thy people bless, and grant that we,
May feast in paradise with thee.
